December 26th and lasting for seven days through January 1st, Kwanzaa celebrates community, family, and Pan-African culture. Children are an integral part of Kwanzaa, for it is in practicing this holiday that history, tradition, and legacy are passed down to the next generation. During this time families can reinforce values and accomplishments and that of their extended family, African people everywhere.
